- Compliance, audit logging, consent management, data-breach registers, and data-subject request tools for authorized roles
- Blogs, promotional offers, and informational pages
The Platform provides information and tools only. It does not replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency care. Always consult qualified healthcare providers for medical decisions.
4. Accounts, Roles, and Eligibility
You may register as an individual user or, where available, as a company employee linked to an approved employer. You may sign in using email or phone, and where supported, a third-party identity provider (such as Google, Facebook, or Apple). You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your Account, including activity on any device where you remain signed in.
The Platform uses role-based access. Certain features are available only to eligible or authorized users, including:
- Mental health and OSH screening — available only to users who belong to an approved company with the mental-health program enabled and who hold an active, approved company membership and valid consent
- OSH and clinical administration tools — available only to users with authorized workplace-health roles (for example HR, OSH officer, clinical officer, or data protection officer) assigned by Walax or your organization
- Company owner tools — available to verified company owners for managing departments, memberships, and program participation, but not for viewing individual employee screening results
- Platform, super-admin, and accountant tools — available only to Walax-authorized personnel for managing content, configuration, finance, and operations
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration, employment, and profile information, and to keep it up to date. We may refuse, suspend, or reclaim any account, username, or company identity at our discretion where permitted by law.
5. Fitness, Video, Conferences, and Wellness Content
Fitness videos, playlists, conferences, tips, recipes, goals, and similar content are provided for general wellness and educational purposes only. Some content is free and some requires an active subscription or eligible access. We may track your viewing progress, completion, likes, saves, ratings, and recommendations to operate and personalize these features.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any fitness, nutrition, or wellness activity you undertake is appropriate for your health condition. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any new exercise or dietary program. Completion points awarded to doctors for conferences are provided for engagement and CPD-tracking purposes and confer no guarantee of accreditation unless expressly stated.
6. Events and Bookings
The Platform may list one-time and recurring events with details such as schedule, location, capacity, price, and organizer. Where an event is priced, your booking is confirmed only upon successful payment, subject to capacity. Event terms, attendance requirements, cancellations, and any in-person conduct rules are determined by the organizer and disclosed at checkout where applicable.
7. Doctors, Facilities, and Appointments
Doctor and trainer profiles, hospital and healthcare-facility listings, specialties, schedules, ratings, and booking features are provided for convenience. Walax does not employ listed independent providers, and does not guarantee availability, qualifications beyond what is represented, clinical outcomes, or suitability of any Provider.
Appointments may be of several types, including medical, psychological, OSH review, and therapy. Appointment terms, fees, cancellation rules, clinical responsibility, and the standard of care remain between you and the relevant Provider unless otherwise stated at checkout. Doctor feedback you submit may be visible only to authorized administrators and is used to monitor service quality. You must not submit feedback that is false, defamatory, or unlawful.
8. Continuing Medical Education (CME)
The CME features allow eligible professionals to discover and register for accredited clinical events (webinar, in-person, hybrid, or recorded), attend sessions, complete post-event feedback, obtain certificates, and maintain a transcript of credits earned. By using CME features you acknowledge and agree that:
- Registration may be free or paid, and certain events may require administrator approval or may place you on a waitlist where capacity is reached
- Certificates, CME credits, and CPD points are issued only after the applicable requirements are met, which may include verified attendance (subject to a minimum attendance threshold) and submission of required feedback
- You must provide accurate professional information, including any license number, organization, and country, and you must not misrepresent your credentials
- Certificates contain a unique certificate number and verification code and may be independently verified through the public verification page; you must not forge, alter, or misuse certificates or verification codes
- Accreditation is provided by the stated accrediting body; Walax facilitates delivery and record-keeping but is not the accrediting authority unless expressly stated
- Resource library materials are made available for your professional education and may be restricted to registered participants; you may not redistribute them except as permitted
- Walax may revoke a certificate where it was issued in error, obtained through misrepresentation, or where required for compliance
9. Mental Health, OSH, and Workplace Screening
Where your employer participates in Walax Health’s workplace program and you are eligible:
- You must provide valid data-processing consent before starting any mental-health or OSH screening, and you may be asked to accept screening-specific consent before each assessment session
- Screening instruments (which may include validated tools such as burnout, psychosocial, and alcohol-use questionnaires) are intended for occupational health surveillance and wellbeing support under applicable Ugandan OSH and data-protection frameworks
- Screening outputs may include scores, subscale results, risk indicators (for example low, moderate, or high risk), and recommendations; these are not a standalone medical diagnosis
- Where clinically appropriate, the Platform may automatically generate referrals to psychiatrists or clinical officers, trigger high-risk or emergency notifications to authorized support channels, display emergency contact information, or facilitate private messaging and appointment booking
- Screenings may be classified as pre-assignment, periodic, exit, or voluntary, and periodic screenings may be scheduled by your organization
- Company owners and general managers do not receive access to your individual screening answers, scores, or clinical results; only authorized OSH officers, clinical officers, data protection officers, and Walax administrators may access information as permitted by their role and applicable law
- You may report workplace incidents (such as burnout, harassment, stress, fatigue, violence, substance abuse, or other categories) where this feature is enabled
You may withdraw data-processing consent from your profile at any time. Withdrawal prevents new screenings but does not automatically delete records that must be retained by law or for legitimate workplace-safety obligations. Screening features are a support tool and are not a substitute for professional clinical care or emergency services.
10. Employer and Company Programs
Companies may register on the Platform subject to Walax review and approval, which may require supporting documents (such as a registration certificate, tax identification, certificate of incorporation, or OSH policy). By registering a company or acting as a company owner or authorized representative, you agree that:
- Information and documents submitted about your organization must be accurate and lawfully provided
- You are responsible for approving or rejecting employee membership requests, and for managing departments, lawfully and fairly
- Enabling the mental-health program authorizes eligible employees to access screening features, but does not grant you access to individual employee screening results; only role-limited or aggregated, anonymized analytics may be made available to authorized roles
- You will comply with applicable employment, occupational-health, and data-protection obligations, including any role as a data controller or co-controller for workplace records
- Where configured, subscription or service pricing may reflect company deduction (payroll-subsidy) arrangements agreed during company setup
- Walax may enable, suspend, or disable company access or program features for compliance, security, or operational reasons
11. Messaging, Group Calls, and Communications
Where messaging, group, or video-call features are available, you agree to use them only for lawful, respectful, and authorized purposes. You must not use them to harass, abuse, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful material. Group features may display an anonymized name in place of your real name; this does not exempt you from these Terms.
Messages, attachments, edit and delete metadata, read and typing indicators, and scheduled call details may be stored to deliver the service, support safety workflows, and comply with legal obligations. Video and audio calls may be facilitated through a third-party service (such as Jitsi). Walax may restrict, moderate, or remove access where misuse is identified, and authorized administrators may review chat content for moderation and safety.
12. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds
Paid services may be purchased through supported payment methods, including MTN Mobile Money and Airtel Money, and other methods made available on the Platform. Prices, billing periods, free-trial terms, and any company deduction pricing are shown before you confirm payment. Payable services may include subscriptions, doctor appointments, event bookings, CME registration, and mental-health, therapy, or OSH services.
- You authorize us and our payment partners to charge the applicable amount using your selected method, and you confirm you are authorized to use that payment instrument
- Subscriptions and free trials are subject to the durations and conditions displayed at purchase; premium access is granted only while your subscription or trial is valid
- Mobile-money transactions are processed by third-party providers, and confirmation depends on their callbacks and your completion of any provider prompts
- Unless required by applicable law or expressly stated otherwise at purchase, payments are generally non-refundable once a service period has started or a booking or registration has been fulfilled
- Failed, reversed, or disputed payments may result in suspension of premium access, bookings, or registrations
- You are responsible for any taxes, fees, or charges imposed by your payment provider or network operator
13. User Content and Community Conduct
The Platform may allow you to submit content such as comments, ratings, blog posts, feedback, messages, profile details, and uploaded files. You retain ownership of content you submit, but you grant Walax a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and process that content as necessary to operate and improve the Platform and to comply with law.
You are solely responsible for content you submit and represent that you have the rights to submit it and that it does not violate any law or third-party right. You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, infringing, misleading, or harmful. We may moderate, edit, remove, or refuse content, and remove or hide ratings, comments, or files at our discretion where permitted by law.
14. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use
You agree to:
- Use the Platform lawfully, in good faith, and in accordance with these Terms
- Provide accurate registration, employment, professional, and profile information
- Not impersonate another person or misrepresent your employer affiliation or professional credentials
- Not attempt to access screening, compliance, financial, or administrative areas without authorization
- Not probe, scan, scrape, reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the Platform, its security, or its infrastructure, including APIs
- Not upload malware or content that could harm the Platform or other users
- Ensure that fitness or wellness activities you undertake are appropriate for your health condition
- Seek urgent medical or emergency help through appropriate offline channels when needed
15. Intellectual Property
All Platform content, including videos, designs, text, software, databases, trademarks, logos, and branding, is owned by Walax Health or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for content you submit, you receive only a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or commercially exploit Platform content without our prior written permission.
16. Data Privacy and Consent
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and protect personal information, including sensitive workplace, health, and mental-health data, payment-related data, communications, and usage data. By using the Platform you acknowledge the data practices described in the Privacy Policy. Where the Platform requires consent (for example data-processing consent or screening consent), you must provide it before the relevant features become available.
17. Third-Party Services
The Platform integrates with third-party services, which may include mobile-money payment processors (MTN, Airtel), real-time video-call infrastructure (such as Jitsi), content and email providers, and analytics tools. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies. Walax is not responsible for the acts, omissions, content, or availability of third parties beyond what is required by applicable law.
18. Availability, Changes, and Beta Features
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and some features may be offered on a trial, pilot, or beta basis and may change or be withdrawn. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and scheduled or emergency maintenance may temporarily limit access.
19. Disclaimers
The Platform and all content, tools, listings, screenings, and bookings are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Wellness content, screening outputs, provider listings, and educational materials are informational and do not constitute medical advice or a guarantee of any outcome.
20. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Walax Health and its officers, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or relating to your use of the Platform. This includes, without limitation, injuries, missed or unsatisfactory appointments, screening or CME outcomes, certificate issues, messaging or call disputes, payment failures, content errors, or reliance on wellness information.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Ugandan law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
21. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Walax Health and its personnel from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, your content, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
22. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account, company access, or specific features, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, misuse the Platform, create security, legal, or safety risk, fail to pay applicable fees, or where required by law or regulator direction. You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time, subject to records we must retain by law or for legitimate workplace-safety and compliance purposes. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.
23. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date and, where appropriate, communicated through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
24. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes arising from or relating to the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Uganda, unless otherwise required by mandatory law. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute with us informally by contacting us using the details below.
